SUMMA is invited to participate in the Board of the Teacher Professional Development Coalition | Washington DC

The Teacher Professional Development Coalition for the Global South is a collaborative effort of ministries of education and government agencies; international organizations; development agencies; NGOs; universities, educational establishments and training centres; research and public policy centers; private corporations and entities linked to education and technology. The purpose of this Coalition is to contribute to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), through the promotion of ICT-driven, quality, equitable and sustainable professional development of teachers on a large scale, through collaboration, research and implementation support.

The Coalition was created by Digital Learning for Development (DL4D), a global research network that seeks to improve education systems in developing countries through the understanding of digital learning. DL4D is jointly funded by the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Department for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom, while managed by the Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED) of The Philippines.
