SUMMA takes part in WISE 2017, World Innovation Summit for Education | Doha, Qatar

The invitation of SUMMA was based on the effort done collaboratively in Latin America and the Caribbean promoting a greater and better use of rigorous evidence in public policy decisions in education.

Javier González presented the work of SUMMA in one of the group discussion sections that were held at the event, with the attendance of around 40 experts in education. In his presentation he stated that “the only way to expand the frontiers of knowledge and promote innovation is by creating instances of collaboration and networking, to take advantage and join efforts, experiences and visions of the different actors”.

In this context, it is important to emphasize that the Educational Policy Advisory Committee of SUMMA is formed by representatives of the Ministries of Education and Agencies or National Institutes of Educational Evaluation of SUMMA´s member countries. One of the responsibilities of this Committee is to ensure representativeness, impact, relevance and political legitimacy of the SUMMA work agenda.

WISE 2017

The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) was created by Qatar Foundation in 2009. WISE is a reference worldwide because of its multi-sectorial platform for creative thinking, debate and purposeful action.
